This skid mounted MCC assembly was engineered and manufactured for Referro Systems with Assmang Khumani Iron Ore mine as the end user. Solve was responsible for both the engineering and manufacturing of Skid, Walkways and MCC container (Excluding the MCC’s panels). All components were manufactured to Assmang’s specifications. The focus during the design phase was to minimize site installation time and movability of the MCC. All components were pre-manufactured and fitted before shipped to site, ensuring a smooth and fast installation.

Solve worked closely with AMS for a customised engineering solution. This trailer mounted MCC was manufactured for Tronox mine in Mtunzini. Solve designed and manufactured 4 custom-built MCC containers for this project. This mobile pump station provides flexibility for mining and relocating the stations fast and effectively. During the design phase the aim was to minimize site installation time and ensure movability of the MCC. All components were pre-manufactured and fitted before shipped to site, ensuring a smooth and fast installation.

Various data centres are on the uprise in Southern Africa. Enviroware Construction approached Solve Engineering Solutions to design a custom engineered mobile cooling module. The design entailed various detail form mounts, pipes, pumps, cable racks to MCC panels. This plug and play philosophy of a pre factory accepted (FAT) module enhances total project timelines and efficiencies. In total Solve manufactured 6 modules for the Africa Data Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg.

With the ongoing energy crises in South Africa along with the global drive towards cleaner energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems are becoming increasingly popular.

BESS are the link between renewable power plants like wind and solar. During nighttime and low wind conditions, energy stored in the BESS can be utilised for various applications. Solve has the capability to manufacture the BESS enclosures at large sale and short turnaround times.

Solve manufactured a variety of 6- and 12-metre custom build battery energy storage systems for Blue Nova. These BESS varied between 500 KVA and 1 MW storage capacity.

E-houses are taking the market by storm. With the flexibility to design and manufacture to customised lengths, widths and heights, Switchboard manufactures have the freedom to design substations and MCC’s to house all the required equipment from transformers, UPS’s, MCC’s to control panels. Working closely with our clients to come up with the most suitable layout and component configuration. Solve also assist clients to design adequate cooling capacity and HVAC design. With various qualified suppliers of fire detection and suppression installers, Solve offers the facility for installation of specified fire systems.

Solve offers a full turnkey solution that covers engineering manufacturing and installation:

1. Support legs
2. Stairs, handrails and walkways.
3. E-house design and manufacturing
(Including Finite Element Analyses, FEA)
4. Certified roof structure

Control Gear approached Solve for the design and manufacturing of 3 E-houses for Anglo Amandelbuld. The footprint of the modules was 15 m (L) x 4.5 m (W) x 3.5 m (H). The E-houses were equipped with ABB MV panels, Vesda in-panel fire detection and suppression and 3 x 24 BTU air-conditions. Solve also designed and manufactured the support legs and all associated accessories. These modules were manufactured according to the specified fire rating for the walls, doors, and ceilings. Each module weighed in at 40 tons.

After a very successful installation in November 2021 Lusaka Zambia, Solve repeated it in March 2023. The teamwork between Nando’s and Solve resulted in an eyecatching drive-through restaurant. By using natural materials like solid wood decking, earthy colours and genuine leather, the product is a masterpiece. With most of the modular structures manufactured off-site at the Solve factory, the installation took only 3 weeks before trading started. The business relation between Nando’s and Solve matured to a trustworthy and long-lasting partnership.

We are proud to have our own in-house draftsmen with highly specialised software and design tools to create 3D Modelling for any of our future projects. This gives us the ability to visualise the final product and scope before completion in order to make any crucial design changes should it be required.
